Hello All!
I must admit for sometime now I have felt a little like I was living with an imaginary friend, this line of home goods I dreamed up and was working to create...
Happily things are quickly starting to come out of production and I am building up quite the little inventory of goods!
Imaginary land is receding and I am coming to the realization that I have in fact started a new line of home goods!
WOW.
So on to what this post really is about...
When I dreamed up this line, I wanted to create something that was easily tailored to one's personal style, and while I believed it could be done, I am (with some relief) seeing that I have done it!!
So with out further ado...
I give you our lovely Batik Sand shown for 3 different room styles!
I am starting it off with what I am going to call modern girly. I love all the pinks, especially when paired with oranges. Here I toned things down with our large cushions in Solid Linen Eggshell. One of our great throws ties the colors from the Charlie Bloom Panel on to the sofa, and a small cushion in Batik Sand feels like an updated floral.
Most of you may hear me go on and on about Batik Sand used for a tribal feeling, and I think that end can be seen here. Of course Batiks take their root in tribal heritage, so it is an obvious direction. I love the idea of pairing Batik Sand with Labyrinth Fog. It all feels so masculine without being boring.
This look begs for reclaimed industrial furnishings and modern art.
Surprise! oh what a change of color palette can do! our wonderful Charlie, a large scale chevron with a wonderful hand painted quality, is seen again. These bright blues always feel sea side to me, and in this combination our Batik Sand is reminiscent of sand dollars. Perfect for anyone wanting to create the feeling of a seaside retreat.
So there you are, one of our lovely prints done 3 ways...
which begs the question...which is your fav??
PS- hopefully the burning question on your minds is " how do I get my hands on that!" well...we are working away a securing the flagship location in Calgary, and hoping to have the web store up in the coming weeks..so stay tuned!
